In YES's pursuit of advancement, they thoroughly assessed methods to enhance the Basic. After experimenting with several options, they consistently concluded that the original form and ride of the Basic outshined the rest. Rather than changing something that was already excelling, they opted to maintain all of the exceptional qualities of the Basic while elevating its visual appeal. Moreover, they have refined the CamRock for a more subdued sensation, providing the desired forgiveness without sacrificing the necessary driving force.

The UnderBite outline has also been improved upon, amplifying the board's curvature, grip, and overall carving experience in every design where it is utilized. As the pioneer of it all, the Basic embodies the beginning of snowboarding excellence. Encounter the YES Basic, where the fundamental elements of snowboarding unite seamlessly.

Rocker Type
CamRock – The response of camber with the floatability of rocker. Camber between your feet acts as a spring, keeping your contact points on the ground as you go in and out of turns and allowing you to keep that edge hold longer. Once compressed the camber will accentuate the rocker and lift the nose out more, allowing it to float.

Flex
Flex Rating – 6 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)

Shape
True Twin – Symmetrically shaped with an identical nose and tail, ideal for freestyle riders and terrain park enthusiasts. A True Twin shape enables riders to ride both regular and switch stances with ease.

UnderBite – UnderBite edges re-distribute a rider’s weight in such a way that it enhances turning ease and edge hold. Creating divots inward at the binding area reduces and disrupts the surface area of the edge that has contact with the snow while the board is turning. This segmentation of the sidecut into 3 key zones focuses your body weight onto areas that initiate, hold and release turns.

Core
Fluid Core – A lightweight wood core technology developed by YES. Snowboards, engineered to enhance flex, pop, and durability. This construction delivers a responsive and balanced ride across all terrains, making it ideal for riders seeking versatility and performance in various snow conditions.

Laminates
Biax Glass Fiber Construction – Biaxial, or "Biax," fiberglass features fibers oriented in two directions—along the board’s length and width. This layout creates a well-balanced flex that offers a more forgiving, user-friendly ride. It boosts torsional flex, making turns and transitions feel smoother and more natural. Ideal for riders who value a playful, adaptable feel over aggressive performance.

Base
Extruded – This material is formed by extrusion and is softer than sintered bases. At the speeds many riders take, this material is actually quicker than sintered bases when waxed correctly. It retains wax better because it's more porous and is easy to fix with a P-Tex stick if it gets scratched.
